The lace and sewing institutes
The parish's own history records that an inspector came to the sisters' needlework school in 1921, that from 1922 the sisters were teaching needlework, embroidery, lace, knitting and dress-making, and that in 1966 the tailoring school passed wholly into their charge. Those dates are the parish's account of itself. The school is not in doubt: the diocese still names the R.C. Lace Industrial School among the works of this parish, and the Osanam Sewing Institute stands beside it in the parish's own roll.

What this source establishes
That the school exists and is still counted among the works of this parish. It corroborates none of 1921, 1922 or 1966 — and the diocese is the parish's own institution, not an outside check.
